**Purpose**:
The SCU Program is +US$200M program essential for the future of Pampa Norte and Minerals Americas. This is a senior role reporting to the SCU Area Manager that will be pivotal for the success of the planning, execution, construction and delivery of SCU Program.

This role provides technical expertise in the definition and management of construction and project/program construction strategies, standards and frameworks to ensure the construction process is optimised to enable safe and efficient management of construction operations.

This role is key for the successful delivery of the project ensuring that, during construction, all interfaces with Operations, Maintenance, Production, MCOE and projects functions are aligned and integrated with our Owner Team Support, collaborators and contractors in accordance with BHP Charter and MinAm Projects strategies.

The Senior Specialist Delivery leads, integrates, negotiates and influences several teams for a safe, sustainable, and efficient delivery of the Project Construction Plan (planning, execution, handover) and key project delivery processes (handover to Commissioning, Mgt of Change, Plan of Day routines, etc) leveraged by rigours risk mgt and BOS processes and tools.

This role is a 5x2 with permanent site travel (Monday - Thursday) to Spence, with flexible work arrangements upon request.

**About the Role**:
In This Role You Will:

- Monitors HSE compliance and design: Implements work practices in line with HSE and hazard/event management procedures and responds to risks with appropriate corrective actions informed by data-driven insights.
- Delivers technical/ functional outcomes and applies appropriate methods and standards: Monitors site contractor/subcontractor groups and strategy execution through proactive reviews of production metrics in line with technical construction standards.
- Delivers construction projects : Manages the construction execution plan including scope, resources and access to facilities/services to deliver in line with sequencing, budget and schedule.
- Manage contracts execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure by rigorous risk mgt.
- Performance manage the Project deliver Key Value Drivers in line with Our Requirements and global and local standards.
- Develop and implements project turnover processes to commissioning/handover activities to facilitate the successful commissioning of equipment/projects across BHP.
- Be a BHP Operating System leader and example of its practices, facilitating and finding the underlying causes of problems to evaluate multiple approaches to address the opportunities
- Quality Mgt: Determines minimum quality requirements and plans project deliverables
- Executes and monitors quality management plans. Reviews and reports on quality control activities.
- Contract Mgt: Conducts contract administration and continuously improves Contracts. Conducts contract advisory. Manages Contractor performance and Risk. Conducts Integrated Contract Management (ICM) advisory.
- Stakeholder Mgt: Identifies key stakeholders. Seeks to understands stakeholder needs. Manages stakeholder expectations. Leverages stakeholder relationships.
