**About the Role**:
This role provides technical expertise in the development, forecasting and benchmarking of project costs and schedules, in line with industry standards, principles and practices to influence the on-time and on-budget delivery of project objectives. The main functions for this position are:

- Monitors and manages project performance to deliver projects in line with safety standards, requirements, budget and scope.
- Develops, predicts/forecasts and benchmarks project costs and estimates in line with industry standards, principles and practices.
- Defines project objectives/schedules, identifies critical activities, monitors the project plan/schedule and drives continuous improvement initiatives across projects at BHP.
- Develops safe project delivery and contractor performance strategies to maximise portfolio value and enhance improvement and innovation.
- Identifies opportunities to optimise value, manages associated risks and applies Optimised With/Optimised Without framework principles to create and preserve maximum value from projects across BHP.
- Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.
- Plans, tracks the delivery of and manages a project to generate value and drive the achievement of project outcomes.
- Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.
- Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.
- Designs and implements governance/assurance practices and Management of Change procedures to control value outcomes across BHP.
- Applies and evaluates change management tools, methods, data, purpose, value and strategic direction.
- Plans, structures and develops technical reports that are clear to both technical and non-technical audiences to deliver clear conclusions and recommendations.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or Project Management, Business, Quantity surveying or related/relevant discipline.
- Previous experience within a similar role in Study and Execution will be highly regarded.
- A demonstrated understanding of principles and governance in PC&A sub-functions of cost estimating, planning and scheduling, cost engineering and project controls.
- Demonstrated focus on leadership and cultural development of teams enabling high performing outcomes in PC&A.
- English and Spanish written and spoken.
- Orientation to promote an environment of respect and wellbeing is a must.
- Availability to work in corporate offices in Santiago and site (travels to site are required for this role).
