**Job Summary**:

- Functions as a technical specialist or in alead role. Under general direction, develops and applies advancedengineering techniques, concepts and approaches to complex engineeringproblems. May provide technical guidance over a group or superviseengineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity. May beresponsible for developing, validating, and presentingspecialist/technical output.

**KeyResponsibilities**:
Engineering Standards:

- Providesguidance and direction on department design guides, standards,systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatchpolicies
- Assists in developing, maintaining and updatingengineering standards
- Provides technical guidance to othersregarding projects and disciplines

Quality / ContinuousImprovement:

- Independently applies knowledge and complieswith Black and Veatch quality program relative to assigned tasks
-May be responsible for ensuring compliance with Black and Veatchquality program
- Provides related guidance and direction toothers
- Supports continuous improvement and change managementefforts

Engineering Production:

- Prepares a variety ofcomplex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects
-Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipmentand/or materials selection
- Oversees collection, assimilation, andmanagement of data for engineering work
- Prepares complexengineering calculations following standard methods andprinciples
- Manages assigned budget, schedule, and qualityrequirements
- Independently applies advanced engineeringtechniques and analysis problems and methods
- Reviews lower levelengineering work or assignments
- Is responsible for one or more ofthe following: leading larger production teams; coordinating multiplediscipline activity; and serving as the responsible charge for aproject

Project Coordination:

- Actively coordinateswith all other internal/external team members on moderately complexprojects

Client Focus:

- Responsible for assisting withidentification of key client interests and drivers on moderatelycomplex projects and may determine the key clients in someinstances
- Communicates client interests and drivers to projectteam members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns inthe performance of the work on moderately complex projects
- Mayoffer other services to the clients
- Typically provides support tobusiness development or pursuit activities

Knowledge Sharing,Innovation and Technology:

- Serves as a technical specialistand has knowledge and skill set to provide consultation and guidanceto project teams in a particular practice area
- Typically supportsmultiple projects on the complex technical challenges
- Activelyfosters knowledge management and provides mentoring
- Develops andapplies advanced engineering concepts and approaches to uniqueengineering problems

People Management - (supervision, careerdevelopment, training, mentoring):

- Typically assists withperformance management process, mentoring, recognition, and anycorrective actions required
- May participate in career planning,and learning and development

Resource Management - (budgets,tools, processes, project support):

- Implements resourcemanagement strategy
- Manages engineering resources for smallgroups of a single discipline

Administrative:

-Administrative responsibilities may include office administration
-Ensures policies, procedures, and processes are effectivelyimplemented and communicated for workgroup
- Ensures adherence tocorporate and division programs
- May approve timesheets andexpense reports

**MinimumQualifications**:

- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineeringfrom either a recognized accredited program in their home country orthe country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8years related work experience. All applicants must be able to completepre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may includeany/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drugscreen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with anyapplicable laws and regulations.
