Locum Consultant Physician Acute and General Medicine University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking for a Locum Consultant Physician in Acute & General Medicine for a Fixed Term of 12 Months. The department has redesigned its Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) processes, enabling new front door developments including the establishment of an Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC) unit. The Acute physicians are well supported by a Physician of the Day and dedicated Physician of the Week model, alongside Specialist Nurses in MAU. Excellent support is also provided by nursing and medical colleagues in the Emergency Department. Responsibility: Participate in the acute rota, Physician of the Week/Day, weekend on‑call rotas. Contribute to ongoing development of services, sub‑specialty clinical interests welcomed. Full‑time post on a 10‑PA basis. Applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full‑time. Proposals for additional SPA time are encouraged.
