Overview You’ve shaped a clear academic vision and taken full ownership of its results. You’ve led visibly, not from the sidelines. When it comes to learning science, you’re not experimenting—you’ve built something concrete, delivered outcomes that validate the approach, and earned credibility to speak publicly about it. At 2 Hour Learning, we’ve developed a model in which students learn at twice the speed in only two hours per day. AI‑driven tutoring, mastery‑based advancement, and a fundamental shift away from traditional classroom design power these results. Academic Strategy & Execution This is not a position focused on academic theory. It’s a leadership imperative. You’ll be accountable for academic strategy in action, establish precise standards, surface execution shortfalls, and guide high‑performing teams toward measurable results. You’ll convert our scientific underpinnings into operational rigor and champion this model to external audiences. Key Responsibilities Design academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivational systems, and application development. Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, responsible, and outcome‑focused. Integrate data, interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most impactful barriers to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions. Ensure strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives. Serve as the face of 2 Hour Learning at senior levels, including keynote presentations and engagements with Ministries of Education, to influence systemic transformation in how education is understood globally. What You Won’t Be Doing Working on isolated curriculum initiatives that lack systemic impact. Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution. Transferring accountability for performance to middle management or external consultants. Depending on institutional reputation or abstract theory to win over skeptical audiences. Basic Requirements Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field. 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes. Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning. Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising. Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar. Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions. Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders. Nice-to-Have Requirements Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture. Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts. Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
