About the Role BHP Chile is a leading natural resources company dedicated to responsibly developing essential resources for global decarbonization. The Manager Innovation Leaching role is responsible for managing the BHP Innovation Leaching facility at Escondida, leading a multifunctional team to operate and manage the facility across all elements of operation and safety, maintenance, finance, and strategy. Responsibilities Lead a team of professionals who deliver safe operation and strategic and financial planning for the facility. Commit to Health, Safety and Environment standards and BHP charter values. Ensure delivery of test work plans according to quality, cost, and schedule as agreed with customer. Define the mid‑ and long‑term strategy for the facility, including planning for facility use, capacity and demand, and identification of new clients. Apply an understanding of the business context and BHP operating model to enhance decision making, productivity, and value chain performance. Accountable for maintenance and asset integrity of the facility to ensure safe and reliable operation across all time horizons. Manage the annual budget and mid‑term financial plans, including development of budgets and ongoing management of income streams and costs. Build team capabilities to develop and sustain team excellence in the development and delivery of complex test work programs. Communicate and influence senior external and internal stakeholders and report at all levels. Build strong relationships and exercise an influential role with stakeholders from Assets, Functions, Projects, Study Teams, and Leadership teams. Provide transparent and timely information to key regional stakeholders, including risks and opportunities identified during the development of the test work for technology development, assets, and studies and projects. Be based at the BHP Innovation Leaching facility at the Escondida site. Qualifications Professional degree in Engineering (metallurgical, chemical, process or similar). Postgraduate studies in Master of Business Administration or related discipline are highly desirable. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience across relevant areas, including experience in mining industry, operations and/or studies, managing test work programs, innovation, and leading teams. Fluent oral and written Spanish, and advanced oral and written English. Benefits Market competitive salary plus an annual incentive program.
