Overview Job Title: Software Engineer II Location: Santiago, Chile About This Role Builds complex, large-scale client applications and large distributed systems that collect, aggregate, transform and distribute data for further analysis. Some roles develop components that run on PCs and collect large volumes of user behavioral data. More senior roles design, coordinate and implement product development initiatives, provide strategic leadership, and ensure the designs and development of world-class system capability. May serve as technical consultant to other teams. What You’ll Do Take responsibility for entire projects; involved in software design; takes full responsibility for assigned project; responsible for meeting set deadlines Handle complex data structures and multi-threading Reverse engineer software to collect user behavioral data (some roles) Mentor and train new team members May have limited external client interaction What You’ll Need 1-3 years coding experience and working with large data sets Able to collaborate across multiple teams Knowledge of COM, TCP/IP, HTTP protocols; J2ME and/or specific mobile operating systems and ability to reverse engineer code may be required for some roles Experience developing software in multi-processing environments (i.e. Hadoop, GRID, MPI) and/or multi-threaded programming Able to be self-motivated and work independently Willingness to learn and become an expert in assigned area Able to seek and provide constructive feedback Benefits Lunch bonus for every workday Life, health and dental insurance Summer Hours between December and March, every Friday until 14:00 Recharge week: time off for the company between Christmas and New Year’s National holiday bonus (September) and holiday bonus (December) Cover of the first 3 days of medical leave Parental leave subsidies to complete 100% of base salary Birthday half-day: finish at 14:00 on your birthday; if birthday falls on weekend, can take the previous Friday Comscore Days: 5 additional paid days off per year (conditions apply) Paternity Leave: 15 paid working days within the first month from birth/adoption Birth or adoption leave for a grandchild: 5 paid working days within the first month from birth About Comscore At Comscore, we’re pioneering the future of cross-platform media measurement, arming organizations with the insights they need to make decisions with confidence.
