**What we're looking for**

Vacasa is looking for a Software Engineer II in our Platform Team, you will work in a fully remote environment from Chile, with teams (both inside and outside of engineering) in order to gather requirements, deliver and maintain products that will have impact on Owners, Guests and internal stakeholders.

An effective Engineer in this role will collaborate with other skilled Software and QA Engineers on the team to achieve the goals.

**What you'll do**
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with established standards.
- Debug and resolve software defects
- Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Write and execute unit tests to verify functionality and identify any defects
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure quality deliverables
- Seek feedback from peers and supervisors to enhance technical skills and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Foster a healthy and collaborative team culture where you operate with empathy and understanding

**Skills you'll need**
- 2+ years experience working on software projects with a cross-functional team
- Working knowledge of Node.js, Javascript, Typescript and/or C# (Python is a plus), and testing frameworks.
- Working knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL)
- Version control using Git and collaborative tools like GitHub
- Experience with frontend libraries like React.

**Nice to have**:

- Completed a B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience working with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS
- Experience writing Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with serverless systems
