About the Role Sezzle is looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer II who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. This mid‑level position requires 3‑7 years of experience and offers abundant career advancement opportunities. You will work closely with engineers across multiple teams to design, develop, and deliver high‑quality, scalable products. Key Role Responsibilities Build and maintain innovative product features and continuously learn new product areas. Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and propose improvements. Contribute to design and architecture discussions, sharing ideas for the next generation of features. Write clean code, participate in code reviews, and maintain ownership of the codebase. Mentor early‑career engineers on the team. Help build, test, and deploy scalable solutions. Assist in planning, estimation, and project completion. Minimum Requirements Experience solving technical problems as part of a team. Bachelor’s in Computer Science (preferred) or equivalent experience. Familiarity with modern frontend development, especially React. Backend experience with Go or a similar statically‑typed, compiled language. Intermediate knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL. Preferred Knowledge and Skills Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, end‑to‑end). Knowledge of RESTful APIs design principles. Basic understanding of microservice architecture. Proficiency with software engineering tools, methodologies, and release processes.
