Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background and the internship period

Duties may include:

  • Collaborate in the construction and cleaning of databases
  • Gathering, assessing, and analyzing micro and financial data
  • Diagnosis and microdata analysis
  • Review literature relevant to the topics addressed
  • Collaborate in the drafting of documents or research
  • Attending coordination meetings with the ECLAC team

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,

(b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).

  • For this internship, studies in areas of economics and sustainable finance is desirable.
Work Experience

For the internship, experience in carrying out field research and writing essays is desirable.

Languages
English and Spanish are working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

NOTE:
"Fluency" equals a rating of ''fluent'' in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and ̈knowledge of ̈ equals a rating of ''confident'' in two of the four areas.
