Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Build up Distribution Center capability, capacity and flexibility to provide superior service to the market.

Operate a highly effective and efficient Distribution Centre with a well-trained, motivated workforce to meet or exceed customers' expectations, satisfy business requirements and meet financial targets, whilst ensuring cost control within agreed budget.

- Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Supply Chain Management Sr. Director and other key function managers such as Customer Service, Inbound Management, Order Fulfillment, understanding forecasted volumes, priorities and organizing & motivating all DC staff to achieve sales targets and on time delivery of all customer/consumer orders.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to remedy customer needs while improving compliance, minimizing operating cost, and effecting greater customer satisfaction. High degree of seniority is expected.
  • Responsible to define and to secure DC Budget control and compliance. Approximate budget value of ~€10M15M; One of the highest percentages of operating overheads in the markets.
  • Effectively manage shift patterns and number of staff employed through increasing / reducing temporary staff employed in a timely manner to achieve both customer service levels and productivity targets.
  • Ensure inventory integrity is maintained through the execution by team of effective cycle counting, written departmental procedures, and the strict adherence of established procedures utilizing uptodate systems.
  • Lead all kinds of DC projects new facilities, facility expansion, new systems implementation. Starting with the Business Case creation and in close communication with local regional and global teams.
  • Develops, coordinates, and maintains a system for identification, evaluation of team and employee productivity rates utilizing uptodate systems tools and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with commercial teams and key customers to develop and/or enhance supply chain solutions.
  • Work jointly with external entities such as unions, landlords, insurance, transportation and security companies. Accountable to follow up every single theft or loss claim.
  • Review routine maintenance plans for all Material Handling Equipment within the DC and ensure this is complied with at all times. Ensure review process for performance of all equipment and where below expectation, work closely with relevant 3rd parties to make the necessary modifications.
  • Provide coaching, growth mindset and guidance to staff in the DC to achieve high performance. Oversee a good training process at induction and ongoing so as to achieve higher engagement and low attrition indexes.
  • Ensure the site has good controls in place to provide a healthy and safe place of work for all staff. This to include a number of key DC staff to have responsibility in this area, to work closely with the sites Health and Safety Manager and that all staff is suitably trained on all health and safety matters.

Key Relationships

  • Key internal contacts covering managers from other SCM departments & Order Fulfillment, Inbound Management, IT, Sales Management, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources, among others.
  • Relevant management at key customers and vendors
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems, familiarity with distribution center best practices, and the ability to operate effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and industry leaders. Collaborating with executives, board members, and other Csuite professionals to align business development efforts with overall corporate goals, ensuring seamless integration across departments.

Teamplay Mindset:
Collaborating with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment on growth efforts.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistic, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. MBA degree is a plus.
- +10 years of experience in Distribution Operations in progressively senior positions, operations experience is an asset.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing a large distribution center, including inventory and order fulfillment management.
  • Background in FMCG or packaged goods industry.
  • Certifications such as those in Six Sigma, Operations or Inventory Management a plus.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, being able to work in an Englishspeaking environment in a daily basis.
