  • About the Role
  • Technology Portfolio Services is the area in charge of integrating the entire Technology Minerals Americas strategic and delivery planning, and in charge of controlling the projects portfolio as well as providing insightful reporting to enable the right decision making for improving all technology performance.
  • As Principal Portfolio Control & Performance you will report to the Manager Portfolio Services and will be in charge of delivering the endtoend monthly balance scorecard results, tactical implementation plans, Improvement portfolio dashboard, Group Technology Officer monthly reporting, among other deliverables associated to our BHP Operating systems for both Head of and Vice presidency levels. Furthermore, the role will provide insightful strategic planning analysis, conducting roadmap workshops and integrate the outcome providing a compelling narrative of the technology value for our Operations.
  • Your role is immerse in the Corporate Planning Cycle, from Life of Assets, through the delivery an executable Two Year Budget working with a vast range of internal (Tech local and global) and external (Assets), as well as in the monthly performance results.
  • This role is based in Santiago with flexible working arrangements including working from home, and often site (mines) visits to engage the key stakeholders
  • About You
  • University graduate with a directly related degree in engineering, industrial, Information technologies, commercial business, etc.
  • Years of proven experience in performance improvement and strategic planning.
  • Excellent proven communication skills, both in Spanish and English, in all dimension; graphic, written, verbal, etc.,
  • Proven influence and people engagement/stakeholder management skills at all levels of the business and seniority and working in multiples geographical regions.
  • Strong action/delivery orientation and superior problem solving and decision making skills
  • Proven inclusive leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously.
  • High team player, collaborative and integrative way of working skills.
  • Understanding of Mining Industry and their key value drivers.
  • Desirable understanding of technology fields.
