Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead OSS solution architect across the full pre-sale’s lifecycle – from opportunity qualification and technical discovery through proof-of-concept, proposal, and contract award – partnering closely with Sales leadership to shape, qualify, and grow the regional pipeline.
- Own and orchestrate end-to-end responses to RFx (RFI / RFP / RFQ), including solution design, compliance and traceability matrices, win themes, technical narratives, effort and Bill-of-Materials estimation, assumptions, and risk identification – driving on-time, high-quality, fully compliant submissions.
- Design and articulate end-to-end OSS solution architectures spanning Service Assurance, Service Orchestration & Fulfilment, Inventory, and closed-loop automation, mapping the portfolio to operator pain points and measurable business outcomes.
- Position and demonstrate the Service Assurance portfolio – fault, performance, and service-quality management; AI/ML-driven anomaly detection, alarm correlation and noise reduction; automated root-cause analysis; and predictive, proactive assurance – including customer-experience and network-slice assurance for 5G Standalone.
- Develop solutions, value cases, and demonstrations around SMO (Service Management & Orchestration) and RIC (RAN Intelligent Controller) platforms, including the Non-RT RIC and rApps (R1, A1 interfaces) and the Near-RT RIC and xApps (E2 interface), addressing use cases such as RAN energy savings, traffic steering, QoE optimization, massive-MIMO and interference management, and anomaly detection.
- Champion network automation and autonomy – closed-loop operations, intent-based and intent-driven management, and the journey toward TM Forum Level 4 autonomous networks – and translate these capabilities into concrete, quantifiable value propositions for customers.
- Lead technical proofs-of-concept, lab trials, product demonstrations, and solution integration and validation, tailoring demo environments to each customer’s specific use cases, KPIs, and success criteria.
- Be responsible and accountable for authoring technical solution documents, high-level designs, design proposals, sizing and Bill-of-Materials, and TCO / ROI models that withstand customer and third-party technical scrutiny.
- Serve as the trusted technical advisor to customers and prospects – running discovery workshops, executive briefings, and technical deep-dives – and manage technical stakeholder relationships from engineering and operations teams up to C-level.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams – Product Management, Engineering, Delivery / Professional Services, Commercial, and Bid Management – and with external parties – operators, system integrators, hyperscalers, and O-RAN / ecosystem partners – to assemble winning and deliverable solutions.
- Generate thought-leadership content – white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and webinars – and represent at industry events and standards / community forums such as TM Forum and the O-RAN ALLIANCE.
- Stay ahead of telecom market trends – Open RAN, 5G and 5G-Advanced, cloud-native CNFs and Kubernetes, observability, and telemetry, GenAI and agentic AI for operations, and the shift toward data-driven, autonomous networks – and bring that insight into customer conversations and internal strategy.
Requirements:
- Must-have demonstrable skills & expertise:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, executive presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Proven hands-on pre-sales and solution-architecture experience in the OSS domain for mobile operators and/or telecommunication vendors, including ownership of RFx responses and customer-facing technical engagements.
- Deep, demonstrable expertise across the Service Assurance domain – fault, performance, and service-quality management, customer-experience management, and AI/ML-driven assurance (anomaly detection, correlation, automated root-cause analysis, and predictive / proactive assurance).
- Strong working knowledge of network automation and autonomy – closed-loop assurance and orchestration, intent-based operations, and the TM Forum Autonomous Networks framework (Levels 0–5).
- Familiarity with O-RAN architecture and SMO / RIC platforms, including the Non-RT RIC (rApps, R1, A1), the Near-RT RIC (xApps, E2), and the O1 / O2 management interfaces.
- Exposure to public clouds (GCP, Azure, and AWS) and to cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, DBaaS), with an appreciation of hybrid / multi-cloud and O-Cloud deployment models.
- Working knowledge of TM Forum standards and Open APIs / Open Digital Architecture (ODA), and of data and observability technologies (streaming pipelines, telemetry, and data lakes).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate virtual, cross-functional bid and solution teams across multiple geographies and time zones, and to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as required.
