Database Engineer (Ops) at BairesDev
As a Database Engineer (Ops), you will be responsible for the administration and optimization of production-grade database environments. You will ensure the stability and health of critical data systems, focusing on reliability and peak performance for enterprise-wide applications.
What You'll Do
Manage and maintain production databases to ensure high availability and consistent uptime. Implement and govern robust data replication and backup strategies to guarantee data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. Proactively monitor and tune database performance, optimizing complex queries for maximum efficiency. Design and execute maintenance plans, including index management and lifecycle tasks, within mission-critical environments. Collaborate with engineering teams to define database standards and provide technical support for platform health. What We Are Looking For 5+ years of experience in Database Administration, Operations, or Systems Engineering. Proven expertise in operating and tuning production databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL. Proficiency in T-SQL or PL/SQL for performance tuning and database optimization. Hands-on experience with backup strategies, replication, and implementing HA/DR solutions. Deep understanding of database maintenance and lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
