We implement Business Central and Customer Engagement apps, build on the Power Platform, and run managed IT services for growing companies. Our teams are small, senior, and AI-forward: we use modern AI tooling every day to design, build, and migrate faster than traditional partners. The Role We are hiring a Dynamics 365 Solution Architect who can walk into a brand new client on day one, with little or no background, and take the engagement from discovery to a delivered platform. You will run the requirements evaluation, design the future state solution, and coach a delivery team through the build. This is a player-coach role. You will lead the design and the team, and you will also configure, develop, and migrate data yourself when that is the fastest path. Your core platform is Business Central, with hands-on reach into Customer Engagement apps and Power Apps. You will use AI tools as a standard part of how you design, configure, build, and migrate, and you will occasionally support pre-sales. What You Will Do Discovery and requirements
• Lead discovery workshops with executives, finance, operations, sales, and service teams at new clients
• Map current state processes, systems, data, and pain points quickly, even when documentation is thin
• Turn conversations into prioritized, testable requirements and a clear fit-gap against standard Dynamics 365 Solution design
• Build the future state solution design across Business Central, Customer Engagement apps, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
• Decide where to configure, where to extend with AL or Power Platform, and where to integrate or buy an ISV solution
• Define the integration, data migration, security, and reporting approach
• Present the design to client leadership in plain business language and earn sign-off Delivery leadership and coaching
• Translate the design into a phased delivery plan the team can execute
• Coach functional consultants and developers on how to build the planned platform, and review their work for quality and fit
• Stay hands on: configure Business Central, build Power Apps and flows, and write or review AL extensions when the project needs it
• Own design decisions through UAT, cutover, and go-live AI-assisted delivery
• Use AI tools daily to accelerate requirements analysis, solution documentation, configuration, AL and Power Platform development, and test scripts
• Use AI to profile, cleanse, map, and transform legacy data for migration from systems such as QuickBooks, Dynamics GP, NAV, and Sage
• Show the team how to use AI well, and set standards for reviewing AI output before it reaches a client Pre-sales support
• Join sales calls and discovery sessions to scope opportunities
• Shape solution approaches, estimates, and statements of work
• Deliver tailored demos of Business Central and the Power Platform What You Bring
• 8 or more years in the Dynamics ecosystem, with at least 3 years as a solution architect or lead consultant
• Deep Business Central expertise across finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, warehousing, and either manufacturing or project jobs
• At least 3 full lifecycle Business Central implementations led from discovery through go-live
• Hands-on experience with Customer Engagement apps such as Dynamics 365 Sales or Customer Service, and with Dataverse
• Working ability to build Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and basic Power BI reports
• Working knowledge of AL development, extensions, APIs, and common integration patterns
• A track record of data migration from legacy ERP or accounting systems into Business Central
• Daily, practical use of AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT in design, configuration, coding, and data work, with examples you can show us
• Proven ability to lead and coach consultants and developers while still delivering hands-on work
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to run executive workshops and write clear design documents
• Comfort walking into ambiguity with a new client and creating structure fast Nice to Have
• Microsoft certifications such as MB-800 Business Central Functional Consultant, MB-820 Business Central Developer, PL-600 Power Platform Solution Architect, or PL-200
• Experience building AI agents, Copilot Studio solutions, or AI-driven automations inside Dynamics 365
• Exposure to Project Operations, Field Service, or Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain
• Experience with EDI, e-commerce, or third-party logistics integrations
• Background in a partner or consulting firm with client-facing pre-sales work
• A finance, accounting, or operations background that helps you speak the language of the business What Success Looks Like On your first engagement, success means:
• You have run discovery with a new client and delivered a prioritized requirements set and fit-gap they agree with
• Client leadership has signed off on a future state solution design you authored
• The delivery team is building against your design with a clear plan, and needs less of your direct help each week
• AI is visibly speeding up design, build, and data migration on your project, with review standards the team follows
• You have supported at least one pre-sales opportunity with a solution approach or demo
