As a result of continued growth in our Latin American Region, Marel is seeking to strengthen it’s Human Resources function by hiring a high energy HR Officer. The HR Officer is an HR generalist that, with limited supervision, supports HR processes or projects.

These HR processes and projects may include any aspect of the employee life onboarding, employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits and termination process.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Provide first-level advice to managers and staff on all aspects of human resources management, employment law and company policies and procedures in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Peru;
- Support the HR Manager with various capability investigations, performance, absence management, grievance and disciplinary
- Manage and implement systems and processes to support an effective HR service, this may include some or all of the following:

- Administer all contracts and letters related to an employee’s employment
- Manage benefits administration and staff entitlements
- Co-ordinate and liaise with payroll and ensure monthly payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Build strong working relationships at all levels to influence and engage staff.

- Confidence in your decision making and have strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and a solutions-focused approach to problem solving
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay and benefits, recruitment, training and development)
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Excellent organizational and administration skills with a good attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in the field of Human Resource Management and / or Business Administration
- Strong English skills, both written and verbal
