We are looking for a **Cloud Automation Engineer**to join our Cloud Engineering team in Alpharetta, GA. The Cloud Engineering team designs and builds public cloud solutions globally at Equifax. We automate project creation, IAM, networking and everything in between in Google Cloud Platform. This is a high visibility role on a high visibility team that is revolutionizing how Equifax delivers systems and software. The work we do is making Equifax a better place to work We’re a tight-knit group of like-minded individuals with a wide variety of technical backgrounds and experience ranging from software engineering to enterprise architecture. We believe everything should be automated and everything can be done with code.

**What you will do**
- Cloud Engineer will be part of the GCP Cloud Platform team who is responsible for building Cloud Infrastructure and deploying Cloud Native and 3rd party services for building an Analytics / Data Science platform.
- You will be part of a high performance oriented Cloud Data team, working on cutting edge Big data & Analytics tools and technology on Cloud environments.
- Lead sustainable incident response, postmortems, and production improvements that result in direct business opportunities.
- Provide guidance to other team members on managing availability and performance of services, building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and building automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions.
- Own availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Automate response to all non-exceptional service conditions.
- You will be programming the back-end on Python, Go, Java, Groovy Scripting or similar object-oriented language.
- You will be working actively on Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools, and use CICD Workflow tools such as Jenkins and GitHub. (Terraform preferred)

**What experience you need**
- BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required; Master’s Degree preferred; AI/ML coursework preferred
- 2-5 years of related technical experience
- Certification in cloud or automation preferred
- Experience in one or more cloud environments (GCP preferred)
- Experience using one or more automation languages (Python,PowerShell, Go)
- Experience with programming languages (Java, C#, javascript) preferred
- Solid understanding of networking
- Experience with other technologies (database, Big Data, AI, etc) considered a plus
- Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred

**What could set you apart**
- Experience in Groovy, Bash
- Preferred to have knowledge of GCP Native Tools (BigQuery, CloudStorage, Dataflow, Composer, GKE).
- Preferred to have DevOps knowledge using CICD processes and using tools like Jenkins, GitHub., Argo CD
- Good to have knowledge of Dockers and Command Line Interface.
