- to find the best design and compromise in term of cost saving and respect of contract.
- Follow, coordinate and control the activities of process engineer in accordance with the project requirements, and co-ordinate the technical project activities and the progress of specialist, drawings, as well as the re-examination of design activities;
- Check that the development of the project occurs in compliance with quality system and contractual terms and conditions;
- Check and approve, based on the general project plan, the detailed plan pertaining to the execution of tasks reports;
- Tackle and solve with the client /partners and Site all the design problems, relying upon specialist support. Inform all the parties involved about the decision taken;
- Elaborate/control, in compliance with contractual conditions, the technical specification and bill of materials to be sent to Purchase/ production;
- Co-operates with the project manager in the activities of search, selection and qualification of supplier;
- Verify the offer requests and completes them specifying the deadline for submitting the offers in agreement with the project execution plan;
- Verify with the project manager the monthly progress of the project, ascertaining the implementation of any corrective action that may be needed;
- Participate in the commissioning / acceptance execution activities;
- Support Mechanical Project Engineers during the design process, in order to guarantee a common approach in the solution of similar aspects, so improving efficiency using, developed in previous projects;
- Approve engineering calculations, data sheets, specifications, drawings, tender adjudication and reports in accordance with procedure;
- Provide technical support to Lead Engineers on tenders, studies, and projects particularly with respect to conceptual development, design philosophies, value engineering and technical auditing;
- Develop, maintain, and improve core Engineering skills, competence and cost effectiveness within the company, and with a network of outsourcing partners;
- Interface coordination/management with other engineering disciplines as necessary.
**Required profile**
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering;
- Previous experience (3years) in a similar role;
- Steel Industry Knowledge and experiences is a plus;
- Ability to support and/or prepare and/or analyse proposals and tenders (including e.g. document preparation, estimation of man/hour for specific projects).Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written;
- Capacity to work in a team and in international environment;
- Able to work independently and proactively;
- **Fluent English is mandatory** (written and spoken) and additional language is an added value;
- **Willingness to travel.**
