- About the Role
- For BHP Chile, we are looking for our new** Principal Innovation Leaching,**to join our Leaching Innovation Team. The main responsibility of the role is to give technical support and quality control for all internal projects and external relations.
**Core Accountabilities**:
- To ensure full achievement of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Incorporate a continuous process improvements culture based on the BOS principles.
- Should be able to advise and make recommendations regarding the success of the new technology development program.
- Design the process flowsheet, define technical controls for the success of the programs through analysis and test optimisation of the technology critical drivers.
- Provide Technical Support and advice on QA&QC to all pilot plant activities ensuring replication.
- Should be able to critically review, manage and interpret all metallurgical data generated from test work.
- Internal stakeholder management in order to align the different responsibilities an accountability during the metallurgical test work.
- External stakeholder management (consultants and universities) in order to ensure the data integrity during technology evaluation.
- Management of patents and Intellectual Property related issues.
- About You
- Metallurgical or Chemical Engineer,
- Master or Doctorate in Science (Leaching, Innovation, Maning Industry) will be highly desirable.
- At least 10 years' experience in process industry.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in leaching process and engineering.
- Advanced English language skills.
- Metallurgical data management and interpretation.
- Experimental and systematically thinker.
- Innovation development experience.
- Knowledge of quality management systems.
- Knowledge of Minitab.
