**Role**: The Functional Developer reports to the Manager, Functional Development and works closely with a diverse team consisting of a Project Manager, Business Analysts, a Team Leader, Developers and QAS.

**Your Day with Equisoft**:

- Configure business processes based on defined business requirements
- Configure product features (such as calculations) based on product specifications
- Load product rates and define product parameters
- Configure access and security roles
- Use OIPA built-in functionality where possible to meet business requirements
- Work with the technical team to ensure integration points are supported through configuration
- Maintain and grow insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies

**Requirements**:
**Technical**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 3 years of relevant experience
- Programming experience; specifically, in procedural programming
- Strong understanding of SQL and general database concepts (query building and optimization)
- Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English

**Soft skills**
- Strong sense of organization and prioritizing
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information
- Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment
- Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline

**Nice to Haves**:

- Experience with Insurance Policy Administration is a strong asset
