**Job Description**:
AFRY is seeking an experienced P2X Engineer to join our innovative team. As a P2X Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing power-to-X (P2X) projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable solutions that leverage renewable energy sources for the production of various fuels and chemicals.

Responsibilities in this role:

- Lead the design and engineering activities for P2X projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Develop and optimize P2X technologies, including electrolyzers, gas separation systems, and catalytic reactors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, into P2X systems.
- Design and implement process control strategies to ensure safe and efficient operation of P2X plants.
- Perform process modeling, simulation, and optimization to improve the performance and efficiency of P2X systems.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and regulations related to P2X, and provide technical guidance to clients and colleagues.
- Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster professional growth within the team.

**Qualifications**:
Skills and Competencies:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 5-10 years in P2X engineering, preferably within the renewable energy or sustainability sector.
- Strong knowledge of P2X technologies, including electrolysis, gas conversion, and catalysis.
- Familiarity with renewable energy sources and their integration into P2X systems.
- Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
- Strong project management abilities, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver projects within deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders. Professional fluency in English, other languages are an advantage (e.g., Finnish, Swedish)
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to P2X.
