**The Work You'll Do**:
As a QA Engineer II you will work closely with Sovos customers and team members to ensure products and services work in a fully integrated manner as expected by the customer. A QA Engineer II understands why we build and test software the way we do and can participate/influence their peers.
- More specifically you will:_
- Create, use and maintain regression tests and facilitate documentation of products.
- Participates in the process for delivering code to production.
- Identifies functionality that can be automated and contributes to the stability of the automated tests.
- Debugs automated test scripts and helps improve them.
- Understands the importance of the automation on the continuous integration cycle.
- Motivates the team to deliver results with the best quality and participates in team decisions.
- General understanding of the product to help onboarding process.
- Understands how Sovos operates, what our Core Values are and our Organizational structure.
- Maneuvers Sovos Org Structure & roles and responsibilities to address roadblocks and QA activities.
- Proactively works with other departments by communicating product knowledge.
- Identifies what knowledge is valuable to share with team.
- Promotes Sovos Core Values/ Global QA Practices.
- Effectively communicates dependencies to other development teams.
- Recognizes and appreciates the contributions of team members to improve overall quality
- Proactively helps team members to update the status of team activities
- Learns how to make the best use of their skills in the context of the team and product.

**What We Need From You**:

- Some experience working in a QA automation role both backend and ui (tools, java selenium robot, cypress playwright codeceptjs)
- Experience with manual testing and building tests cases
- Fluent in English (Verbal and written)
- Exposure to CI/CD
- exposure to non-functional testing
- Experience with oracle
- Deep understanding of product
- Understands SOVOS SDLC + SCRUM
- Understands the value of higher quality stories and estimation for more productive grooming/planning
- Active participation in team meetings and adherence to practices.
- Ability to help triage escalations by reproducing issues from support.
- Able to perform basic troubleshoot on bug reporting.
- Exposure to the high-level workflow of products
- Manages competing priorities and goals well.
