Position Overview:
This is the career level where employees are assigned responsibilities for performing a full range of duties at the full performance level in reviewing and evaluating routine to complex claims.
Essential Job Functions
- Communicate with desk examiners, insureds, attorneys, and other experts to gather information on claims in preparation for depositions or trial
- Work closely with defense counsel in preparation for testimony or trial
- Manage workload according to Alder guidelines
- Sit for depositions on behalf of UPCIC or APCIC
- Regular and reliable attendance
Marginal Job Functions
- Review and analyze written information
- Negotiate settlements with the insured and/or their representatives
- Communicate effectively
- Rely on training as well as guidance from management to plan and accomplish goals
- Manage litigation inventory as required by management
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Some degree of creativity and latitude is a plus
- Must possess a Florida 6-20 Insurance License
- Possession of other state license as required by management
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player
- Ability to multi-task
- Some travel is required.Must possess valid drivers license
