Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report. **Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP)**: Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan. **Job Summary**: The Project Accountant will be responsible for supporting the project's financial and accounting activities in the Accounts Payable area with support from BEO as part of the Finance and Accounting team for the Yanacocha WTP Project. The position will be based at the project office in Santiago and will report to the Project Accounting Manager. **Major Responsibilities**: - Coordinating with AP New Delhi for sending BEO invoices via APEX Form. - Creating vendors in the Formsplus system. - Managing the processing of pending invoices (Hold Report), processing manual payments, and assisting with the payment of deductions. - Working closely with the AP Leader from BEO assigned to the project. **Education and Experience Requirements**: Requires bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Accounting, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field with 3-4 years of relevant experience. **Required Knowledge and Skills**: - Proficiency in English (desirable). - Ability to maintain confidentiality with strong ethical behavior in work practices, a customer service orientation with demonstrated professional conduct and communication style, flexibility, and commitment to meeting deadlines. **Total Rewards/Benefits**: For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of engineers and beyond Because our teams face some of the world's toughest challenges, we offer robust benefits to ensure our people thrive.
