**What You’ll Do**
- Developing MVP IaC code automation for new Cloud Services, ensuring that automation complies with security requirements
- Develop reference architecture and reference implementations for others to be able to leverage the new cloud service
- Providing initial automation of the new cloud service to be integrated into the Certified Pipeline.
- Ensure that documentation is updated to enable others to leverage the new cloud service
- Contribute code to multiple automation projects
- Contribute to review and enablement of new cloud-focused products/solutions
- Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling DevOps and GitOps models
- Participating with Architecture, Operations and Engineering teams within Scrum Agile processes.
- You understand various aspects of cloud engineering practices: business, cost, data, security, infrastructure and governance
- You will perform some Software Reliability Engineering capabilities in development and understand the SRE responsibilities and tradeoffs, incorporating them into your implementations

**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Required**
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related Field or equivalent job experience required
- 1+ years in Cloud IaC automation using Python and Terraform
- Experience in security controls or automation and understand security issues in the cloud
- You are a fast learner and like to experiment even with technologies that are new and not well-documented (Pre-GA)
- You are able to clearly communicate in written instructions to enable others to replicate your successes
- Experience using tools/technologies to develop infrastructure as code (IAC) such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet
- Experience with virtualization technologies
- Experience with collaborative version control systems (e.g. Git / Bitbucket)
- Advanced understanding of Networking, and Internet principles
- Strong knowledge of cloud, IAAS and service oriented infrastructure
- You have experience in debugging, diagnosing, and trouble-shooting complex, production software
- You adore working in a fast paced and agile development environment
- You have detailed knowledge of modern software development life cycles including CI / CD
- You have the ability to operate across a broad and complex business unit with multiple stakeholders
- You are a self-starter, highly motivated, and have a real passion for actively learning and researching new methods of work and new technology
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders

**Preferred**
- Some experience in security controls or automation and understand security issues in the cloud
- 2 + years of automation on the Google Cloud Platform
- Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Subversion) and build tools like Jenkins/Octopus
- Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, and Confluence)
- DevOps focused engineer with experience in LEAN principles
- Experience designing/developing Policy as Code
- General experience with a variety of container images (ex. Openjdk, alpine, dotnetcore, nodejs, postgresql) and how they are used
