**Your future role on our team**

BBA is seeking a dynamic, creative and innovative mining engineer and team leader who can provide quality consulting services to our expanding client base in South America. You’ll report to our Engineering Manager and lead our team of mining engineers and geologists in the Santiago, Chile office. The role is a mix of technical project-based work, team leadership and business development.

- Carry out mine design, planning and cost estimation for project development studies, including PEA’s PFSs and FSs.
- Provide engineering support to mining operations.
- Supervise, mentor and coach team members, assigning responsibilities, defining work methods and allocating resources.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Promote BBA’s mining and geology engineering services by participating in professional conferences and work groups.
- Develop new business relationships and lead or support proposal preparation.
- Work with the mining engineering and geology teams in Canada to share resources, support business development and expand BBA’s capabilities and service offerings.

**Overview of certifications and job requirements**
- University degree in mining engineering from a recognized university
- At least 10 years of experience in mining operations or consulting
- Experience managing or leading a team
- Experience in open-pit mining (underground mining experience would be a bonus)
- Familiar with mine design software, preferably MineSight (Hexagon MinePlan 3D) or Deswik
- Present at our Santiago office at least three days each week
- Ability to travel occasionally to Canada and abroad
- Ability to communicate in English
