This role will focus on: The Mining Sales Engineer (Chile) position requires a strong customer focus, a consultative sales approach, and relevant market knowledge to present and develop value-based strategies together with management to increase our market share in the specified sectors. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the installed base of products and customers and developing key sectors by leveraging our strong portfolio of solutions for new clients. The candidate should have a solid entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative to develop and contribute new ideas and plans to achieve growth in the sector. To succeed, the candidate must build strong relationships with customers and prospects; a strong presence at customer sites will allow the Sales Engineer to learn and understand customer pain points and needs. What You’ll Do Lead and take ownership of the mining territory and its development. Maintain the installed product base. Activate new customers and self-generate business opportunities in the mining industry. Maintain a strong customer focus and consultative sales approach in daily activities. Ensure disciplined CRM activity and pipeline management. Present weekly sales forecasts. Deliver monthly sales quota. Meet weekly KPIs. Expand the network within active customers and develop new clients. Travel frequently within northern regions of the country. Proactively support and cooperate with the local Digital Strategy. Work collaboratively as part of a team. Who You’ll Work With You will work with the support of the General Manager for the Andean Region and report to the Sales Manager for Chile. You will receive internal support from the Applications Engineer on technical aspects and maintain close communication with the WM Chile Sales Team. It is your responsibility to build strong relationships with customers, including end users, OEMs, engineering firms, and consultants. What you'll need to be successful in this role Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial Engineering. 5 years of experience in technical B2B sales of premium products is a plus. 3 years of experience with positive displacement pumps is also a plus. Sales experience in the mining sector is a significant advantage. Residence in Antofagasta or Calama. Availability for frequent travel throughout the northern mining region of Chile.
