Overview:
Hexagon PPM has a great opportunity for you** We are** seeking a highly motivated QA Principle Software Consultant to join the team in Santiago Chile**

Our product team is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and managing HxGN EAM Constraint Optimizer product that produces optimal solutions of complex scheduling and planning problems, and more.

The QA **Principle Software Consultant** in this position, works on product development projects and supports implementations of our product. This person is responsible for designing, writing, executing, and maintaining test automation scripts and reporting results to management. They will oversee the quality of the product and ensure that all company process and procedures are followed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Define and implement the QA strategy
- Create, maintain, execute, and automate test plans and test cases
- Identify and recreate defects and perform defect fix verification of software defects, using a defect tracking tool (JIRA)
- Interacts with solution development and product ownership teams to give feedback, discuss, and document design issues, investigate problems, and develop solutions to meet the technological needs of users
- Analyzes and tests software to ensure that products meet design specifications and are within quality management limits and standards
- Actively participates in the entire software development life cycle, including developing quality standards through participation in initial software development stages and testing software in later stages of development for reliability and accuracy
- Work closely with leads and managers to report status, communicate impediments, plan, and estimate QA tasks, and identify and mitigate project risks
- Track QA progress and report status to management
- Provide oversight and mentorship to QA analysts
- May be required to work extended hours to meet project timelines as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of software quality assurance testing preferred
- Functional and End to End test case development experience
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience creating and editing XML
- Experience of defect reporting and tracking using tools such as Jira
- Experience testing in an Agile development environment
- Ability to deliver results, prioritize activities, and to manage time effectively
- Experience in API testing
- Experience of automation framework using industry leading testing tools such as Selenium and AIP Automation.
- Communicates in English effectively (both written and verbally)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in automation framework using industry leading testing tools such as Selenium
- Automation scripting knowledge in one or more programming languages (Java)
