JOB REQUISITION

Sourcing Specialist

LOCATION

SAN RAMON

Specific responsibilities include:

- For standard commodities, proactively seek out, research and evaluate sources of supply to provide best service, value and business alignment for the organization.
- Review and analyze enterprise spend data associated with these commodities to identify cost savings opportunities.
- Prepare bid requests, RFP/ RFI documents and requirements/specifications.
- Manage RFP process in collaboration with business teams, analyze responses and recommendations final solution.
- May partner with Supervisor as complex situations arise.
- For standard commodities, negotiate contract pricing, terms and conditions in collaboration with Legal counsel and business teams.
- May facilitate or manage new program rollouts or participate as a team member in projects related to these activities.
- For standard commodities, perform contract management duties including monitoring ongoing vendor performance by conducting quarterly business reviews to manage adherence to contract pricing/terms, forecast, review product roadmap, and identify/develop cost saving alternatives.
- Monitor, evaluate and ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of performance including cost, quality, service levels, billing practices, etc.
- In partnership with Supervisor, manage customer relationships with regular business meetings to review current contracts, supplier performance and forecast future business needs.

Qualifications:

- BS/BA in Business or related field preferred. Negotiation and contract law courses preferred.
- ISM (Institute of Supply Management) certification preferred.
- 3+ years’ of sourcing/purchasing and contract negotiation/management experience required.
- Must be proficient with Word and Excel.
- Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Financials a plus.
- Strong ability to interpret, proofread and edit legal/contractual documents.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong ability to analyze problems and situations and provide innovative ideas and solutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, establishing networks across the organization.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management both orally and in writing and provide sound rationale for recommendations.
- Work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects.
