Sola Financial Controller

**Financial Controller -South LATAM**

The Financial Controller oversees financial planning and Analysis, tax planning and compliance, treasury, controlling and technical accounting, local reporting and accuracy of the financial records, and ultimate accountability for the financial statements in IFRS. The Controller will also have oversight of the work performed by the team for Chile Legal Entity and a hybrid scope (share service center) for the **Chilean affiliate and for rest of Southern Region Countries** and make sure that these organizations are in compliance with all applicable procedures and standards and strong internal controls (implementing, monitoring and enhancing). The Financial Controller is a key member of the local management team.

**Report line**: Solid line to the LatAm Finance Director and Doted line to the Chile General Manager

**Main responsibilites**:

- Build up and monitoring Budget, Last Estimate, MTP, Forecast accordingly with Regional guidance
- Build up monthly business review presentations to VP and LatAm Finance Director
- Financial coherence of activities related to all functions (Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, G&A, R&D).
- Make sure that timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, local/statutory accounting standards
- Prepare monthly reporting package, including comparative reports of GAAP operating results and financial position and variance explanations
- Tax planning execution and transfer pricing calculation
- Coordinates with local tax authorities on audits. Serves as the primary contact with the co-sourced provider of direct tax preparation. *Serves as the primary contact for all local tax issues, in conjunction with Share Service Center based in Mexico.
- Oversight of the organizations system of internal controls and active management of exceptions. Make sure that adequate systems and procedures are in place to provide controls, safeguarding of assets and the efficient execution of financial activities.
- Implementation of Guerbet policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations
- Assist with annual audit and semi-annual by the external auditors. *Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal audits
- Guarantee the liquidity of the legal entities.
- Actual and Forecast cash flow control (expl: Kyriba System)
- Provide monthly cash reports and forecasts to corporate treasury.
- The renewal of all Countries insurances, in partnership with HQ.
- Credit and Collection monitoring
- Accounts payables monitoring
- Build up of KPI´s for all finance area
- Support Procurement and IT LatAm with their requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills and background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) required (Finance or Accounting preferred) or applicable experience.
- 7+ years of Financial Controller or Reporting experience within an international organization, mainly LATAM countries.
- Experience with working with senior leaders internationally.
- Ability to maintain composure and strict confidentiality with privileged information and serve as a business partner, building strong relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide advice to business area partners and management in order to drive business results.
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong background in business partnering, working with the business, and driving productivity
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to convey technical data to non-users.
- Strong project management, ability to prioritize workload, meet strict deadlines, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Experience in SAP implementation.
- Advanced MS Office package (especially Excel and Power Point) and familiarity with general ledger systems such as Totvs and SAP, and experience with SAP FC or other similar consolidation packages.
- Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese is a Plus
