Job scope

To grow FLSmidth’s filter media business in both new and existing markets to increase aftermarket market share globally. Filter media includes filter cloth and filter fabrics, along with some involvement with filter plates and other consumables.

Filtration operations, maintenance and service experience looked upon highly. Knowledge and experience in filter media manufacturing or wear materials science looked upon highly. Experience with other separations and dewatering technologies, including thickening, flotation and gravity concentration would be looked upon highly.

**Responsibilities**:
- Sales and business development, including indirect management of regional sales teams within the product line- Developing growth strategies and plans based on install base and capital sales- Managing customer relationships, improving aftermarket retention and increasing client base- Developing new business models for service and digital products- Managing and reviewing business proposals and contracts- Delivering sales training, developing marketing materials.- Supply chain and manufacturing support for internal and external manufacturing, vendor selection and development, improvement in production technology, lead time and cost estimation and improvement. Develop internal manufacturing plan.- Strive for continuous improvements in our ‘Safety First‘and Quality-focused culture. Grow and develop, engage and motivate a large and diverse team (sales, and product support teams) to continually increase customer satisfaction.- Forecast sales targets and support the sales team in meeting these targets.- Submit regular sales and product reports and ensure data is accurate- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM and ERP systems.

What you bring- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience, desirable: metallurgical engineering- At least 10 years within the mineral processing industry, preferably with product management focus, or separations, filtration or thickening operations/maintenance- At least 5 years’ experience in a technical specialist role with a demonstrable success in developing sustainable solutions to support the sales effort to increase market share and maximizing client productivity and efficiency using our products.- Relevant, direct experience with separation technologies- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and credibility both internally and with external clients with strong customer service skills.- Demonstrated business acumen to develop realistic business plans with stretch targets and the clear plan to reach those targets.- Experienced utilizing ERP database systems is desired i.e.. Oracle, Citrix / Epicor, SAP or similar systems- Advanced English- Availabity to travel up to 50% of the time - Regular global travel is expected in this role, volumes will vary based on the requirements of the role.
