Motorola Solutions is a world leader in the field of professional mobile communications systems with an impressive heritage of technological innovations and a global base of installed systems. The group's main business is the implementation of mission critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers.

Manages the Federal System Technologist team working primarily with the Federal Systems Integration Team to successfully deploy, configure and optimize systems in the US Federal Government market space worldwide. Collaboration and tight alignment with both the Project Management and Engineering teams is critical to insure the System Integration Project Portfolio of projects throughout the world are deployed on schedule and within budget. In addition, the role also requires collaboration with the M&S Team to support System Upgrade Agreements deployments and the Pre-Sale Business Development and Sales teams in support of quoting of new Project Opportunities.

**Resource Management**:

- Ensure that the team is staffed appropriately to cover existing and forecasted workload.
- Responsible for identifying and engaging qualified talent when needed to expand/replace team members.
- Accountable for the proper resource allocation on projects that adhere to both the schedule and available budget.
- Accountable for managing the team in accordance with department Utilization metrics and time card compliance.
- Accountable for MBR department performance and ensuring project credits are being properly accounted for in the MBR.
- Working knowledge of Motorola’s Technology Roadmaps and their impact on customer’s future needs to ensure optimal staffing on projects.

**Develop the Team**:

- Responsible for the department's organizational development.
- Responsible for the performance management of the team to reward high performers and improve poor performers.
- Mentor junior ST's and ensure they have the necessary training and direction.
- Ensure team members have the proper tools, test equipment, and training to be successful.
- Communicate with each team member individually on a regular basis in order to ensure understanding of organizational goals, changes, and updates.
- Build and improve project execution expertise by monitoring and teaching effective work habits.
- Build leadership supply of the entire organization by identifying and developing future senior FST's, group leaders and managers from within the team.
- Build talent supply of entire organization by encouraging both internal and cross-functional development.
- Responsible for inspiring, developing, and maintaining a team culture of total technical ownership to ensure the integrity of all customer and partner system implementations.

**Financial Responsibility**:

- Owns the department's financial goals and administration including billing, planning, forecasting, and monitoring.
- Key Work Partner in achieving the SI Financial Plans at both a Project and holistic SI Business perspective.
- Responsible for rewards management of the team.
- Timely review and processing of employee expense reports and time cards.
- Asset capital planning, tracking and reporting.
