About the job:
The Red Hat Training team is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architect to join us in Santiago, Chile. In this role, you will help customers understand how Red Hat’s training and certification offerings will give them a competitive advantage and achieve their business objectives in all Spanish speaking countries where Red Hat is based. You’ll need to have technical expertise, passion for open source, and deep understanding of business processes and IT problems faced at the enterprise level to identify and create business solutions. As a Specialist Solution Architect, you will also need excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a key part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat and maybe even the delivery resource for strategic offerings. You will also work closely with the Red Hat Academy (RHA) business development manager to guide adoption within our RHA schools. You will use your customer service skills to engage closely with higher education institutions. You’ll serve as the primary contact for all RHA schools, therefore you will be responsible for representing Red Hat to the highest level. You will be critical to the future success of Red Hat, as the RHA program raises awareness and helps meet the skill gap for Red Hat’s solutions portfolio.
What you will do:
- Discover and analyze customer business and technical problems and connect the appropriate Red Hat training and certification offering that meets their needs
- Use your deep knowledge of our offerings to provide technical leadership to the Sales team and the customer through sales conversations and presentations and demonstrations of our offerings
- Meet revenue and bookings goals while sustaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Collaborate with Training Delivery teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions
- Work in partnership with Training and Certification Development teams to ensure that our offerings match current and future customer needs
- Increase consumption across the Latin America (LATAM) region by targeting and contacting current RHAs
- Design and implement programs to guide adoption of RHA once an institution becomes a Red Hat Academy
- Serve as the primary contact for all RHAs
- Work closely with the Red Hat business development manager to increase adoption
- Provide excellent customer service
- Deliver presentations to current and potential RHAs
- Forecast and manage adoption metrics and strategic programs like Adopt an Academy, Red Hat Openshift consumption, and others
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, customer service, instructor, consultant, solutions architect, or in an equivalent role; experience in sales is a plus
- Deep knowledge of Linux or UNIX-based system architectures, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related technologies
- Deep understanding of one or more emerging technology areas where Red Hat competes like cloud platforms, DevOps, OpenShift, microservices, container management and orchestration, automation, or virtualization
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills; record of developing relationships at technical, management, and executive levels
- Solid understanding of the education and academic marketplace
- Ability to work in a high-growth market where change and ambiguity are constant
- Ability to listen; solid written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated with initiative and the ability to work without direct supervision
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 70%
- Multicultural sensitivity and awareness
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Red Hat certifications are a big plus
