At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before. **Job Summary**: Reporting to the South America project IS&T operations lead, the Santiago project IS&T lead provides hands-on support of South America studies and projects, focusing on broad engagement with project management teams and global IS&T personnel. **Major Responsibilities**: - Providing day-to-day IS&T support of multiple South America project studies and projects, managing staffing requirements, estimates and execution plans with project management teams and regional Project IS&T personnel. - Implementing Bechtel standard project IS&T governance for Santiago projects: - Execution Planning. - Automation Planning. - Estimating. - Operations Readiness Review Team (ORRT). - Project reviews. - Information dashboards. - Closeout processes. - Reviewing and reporting on the implementation status and quality of project IS&T services for assigned studies and projects. Works with on - and off-project teams to address and resolve IS&T issues (network, hardware, software, etc.). - Staying abreast of IS&T governance and information management, automation and digital delivery developments for implementation on studies and projects. - Tracking all IS&T assets and maintains an accurate inventory in the Bechtel standard asset management tool. - Responding to customers’ needs, questions and concerns and expedites actions in an accurate, effective and timely manner. - Monitoring IS&T metrics and takes action to address governance compliance. **Education and Experience Requirements**: Industry experience gained through a recognised degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialised courses in Information Systems and Technology, Engineering, Construction, or related fields, with 8-10 years’ experience or 12-14 years relevant work experience. **Required Knowledge and Skills**: - Able to communicate clearly in technical terms with project and global IS&T peers. - Able to translate technical communications into practical terms for discussion with management teams. - Knowledge of ITIL-based governance or Bechtel-specific IS&T work processes and planning methodologies to support study and project execution. - Broad knowledge of hardware and operating systems including network architecture and communications infrastructure. - Ability to articulate ideas and to write clear and concise reports. - Ability to identify, track, escalate and resolve problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems. **Total Rewards/Benefits**: For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond Because our teams face some of the world's toughest challenges, we offer robust benefits to ensure our people thrive.
