While we are not a law firm, our work requires strong skills in **case management, document preparation, and compliance with U.S. claim procedures**.

As part of our international growth, we are seeking motivated professionals in **Chile** to join our case management team.

**Role Overview**

We are hiring a **Paralegal / Case Manager / Legal Assistant / Claim Processor** to support unclaimed property recovery cases. This role includes **managing case files, preparing legal documentation, conducting procedural research, and coordinating with U.S. claimants, state agencies, and notaries**.

This is an **independent contractor role** (not an employee position) that requires availability on **U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST)**.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and organize **client case files** related to probate, estate matters, and unclaimed property recovery.
- Draft and review supporting documents such as affidavits, proofs of identity, and powers of attorney.
- Conduct **basic legal and procedural research** on U.S. state requirements for unclaimed property claims.
- Coordinate with **U.S.based notaries, state agencies, and clients** to ensure smooth claim progression.
- Track and monitor deadlines, ensuring claims are filed accurately and on time.
- Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in all case work.

**Qualifications**
- **Bachelor’s degree** in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- **2+ years of experience** as a paralegal, legal assistant, case manager, or in similar roles.
- Familiarity with **probate procedures, estate documentation, or unclaimed property claims** is a plus.
- **Fluent in English** (written and spoken); Spanish fluency is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as a contractor for a U.S.based company.

**Compensation & Growth Path**

This role includes a **performance-based progression schedule**:

- **60-Day Probationary Period**: $1,050 USD/month
- Performance-based evaluation period.
- **Post-Probation (after 60 days)**: $1,350 USD/month
- Compensation increase with continued responsibilities.
- **6-Month Review**: $1,650 USD/month
- Performance and scope-based progression.
- **12-Month Review**: $2,000 USD/month
- Long-term contractor advancement with potential for expanded responsibilities.

**Note**: Progression is **not automatic**. Each step depends on performance, growth, and meeting company expectations.

**Schedule**
- Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Must be available during **U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST)** hours.
- Fully remote - reliable internet connection and professional work environment required.
