**What you will bring to the team**
The Associate Finance Manager, Accounting and Compliance has an important management and oversight role to the accounting, tax compliance, and related financial governance activities of the TGCS Country. The position also is responsible for tracking Country annual compliance requirements and facilitating preparation of the same while also coordinating with external compliance providers.
**What you will be doing**:
Your typical day as a Toshiba **Associate Manager Accounting and Compliance **will involve:
- Manage accounting, compliance, and related activities for TGCS Country
- Collaboration with local consultant team, oversee preparation of annual statutory financials, transfer price filing, coordinate “sworn” statement declarations.
- Provide finance support to maintenance parts importation transactions and ensure correct accounting and compliance treatment of the same.
- Field day-to-day inquiries involving cash transactions, intercompany invoicing and settlements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and provide support to the local commercial team
- Ensure necessary invoice and supports are provided to KPMG for the maintenance of the compulsory local ledger.
- Review month-end journal entries for payroll, import/export transactions, VAT, while also ensuring intercompany transactions are properly initiated
- Review Minute Meetings
- Preparation of entries for cash, payroll, vacation accruals and VAT
- Manage the review of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for legal local purposes (tax, labor and legal). As well as prepare and release procedures at government agencies.
- Oversee hardware supplier inventory accrual balance involving periodic follow-up and collaboration with cost and procurement teams.
**Naturally To be successful in this role, you must have and know of**
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 6+ years of public accounting and 8+ corporate accounting experience.
- CPA/ Chartered accountant or equivalent certification.
- Experience with direct and indirect taxes in a multinational, multi-currency company environment.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing a plus
- Familiarity with management of local GAAP compliance activities in a US GAAP accounting environment
- Previous roles managing all aspects of statutory audit, tax and compliance for a small country operation
- Skilled at preparing balance sheet reconciliations and taking appropriate follow-up actions.
- Experience with forecasting and fluctuation analysis; able to independently recognize and investigate variances
- Willing to work as a partner to the business and proactively identify solutions to complex accounting or financial issues.
- Ability to manage discussions and deliverables in Spanish.
- English: Advance/ Fluency (participate in many conferences in English)
- Proficient in MS Excel required.
- Oracle experience strongly preferred.
- Must be a collaborator and team player, but able to work independently to achieve deadlines.
- A sense of urgency daily and strong communication skills are critical; willingness to conduct business during non-standard hours to meet the needs of a global business.
- Technology company experience preferred.

- Manage Finance Analyst, staff
- All aspects of accounting and compliance, as well as administrative tasks; provides support across different stakeholders-areas within the organization
- Strong accounting and tax knowledge under Country regulation with a good level of English; ability to meet month-end closing deadlines with preparation of required month-end journal entries.
