About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Systems Implementation and Support Engineer to join our team in the retail sector. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful deployment, integration, and ongoing support of IT systems across our retail operations. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and store personnel to deliver reliable and efficient technology solutions that enhance business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the implementation of IT systems in retail environments (POS systems, ERP, inventory management, etc.)
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across retail locations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure system compatibility with business needs
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve potential issues
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and support processes
- Train end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal system usage
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system upgrades, maintenance, and incident resolution
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, data security standards, and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or systems implementation, preferably in the retail sector
- Strong knowledge of retail IT systems (POS, ERP, CRM, etc.)
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments, networking, and system integration
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS)
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
