What can you expect?

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced finance professional to join Marsh McLennan (MMC) as a Finance Director .The Finance Director role is responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) of our business in the Latin America region.

Reporting to the MMC CFO of LAC, you will work very closely with the business leaders and the wider LAC  Finance team. The successful candidate will be action orientated, display exceptional stakeholder management skills and be delivery and outcome focused. You will display a range of techniques to both direct and influence stakeholders and operate as both a clear and concise leader, as well be an excellent team player.

We will count on you to:

  • Support Business Leaders in and take responsibility for the management of the local P&L
  • Take responsibility for reporting, analyzing and explaining financial performance.
  • Ensure the business receives robust KPIs to run the business, including coordinating the collection of all performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
  • Partner with LAC FP&A to ensure performance is well understood.

Lead the budget and forecast process, understanding opportunities and threats, and build credible plans to deliver profitable growth in line with targets.

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, and support M&A activity.
  • Partner with Controllership and Operations to improve key processes to make the finance ecosystem as well as the business environment easier to navigate.
  • Be proactive and creative in improving processes, driving efficiencies, and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related degree; qualified or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years of Finance experience in a global, highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of operating models in insurance / insurance broking.
  • A high degree of intellectual curiosity and the ability to engage with other leaders in addressing complex business issues.
  • Strong analytical skills, forecasting and budgeting experience.
  • Action orientated and delivery and outcome focused.
  • Ability to comfortably and effectively deal with ambiguity and be able to take action and move forward in the face of the unknown.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with Oracle / Smartview preferred.
