Mining & Metals
Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. Job Summary
In this position, you will manage a team to develop estimates for projects with many stakeholders. You will provide key technical leadership and direct input to proposals, strategic plans, client presentation, and contract negotiations. Your leadership and expertise will ensure that deliverables are within scope, performed at a low cost, and consistent with the proposal budget.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership".

Major Responsibilities

• Leading estimate development for estimates at a low to moderate financial or reputational risk level.
• Developing, presenting, and maintaining Project Estimate Plan(s) specific to estimating efforts.
• Developing estimate schedule of activities.
• Monitoring progress and overseeing overall estimate development.
• Responsible for the creation of estimate review/basis packages and assuring that they are completed as per approved procedures.
• Preparing cost studies utilizing historical data, statistical analysis and cost and quantity comparisons, developing new techniques as required to meet specific needs.
• Analyzing cost and price data from suppliers and subcontractors and internal cost and performance information with the ability to generate comparative data, historical costs, and other metrics, as part of the cost and price analysis.
• Directing discussions in management reviews.
• Analyzing estimating data and correlating to other projects and Bechtel standards.
• Reviewing estimate basis and assumptions for completeness.

Education And Experience Requirements
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

• Ability to manage people, deadlines and time.
• Experience in managing work teams and preparation.
• Evaluation and review of CAPEX.
