About the role

The purpose of this role is to provides technical expertise in the provision of project services (e.g. scope, estimated/actual cost, planning and scheduling, budgets, changes, progress and forecasting) to influence the on-time and on-budget delivery of project objectives.

Responsabilities:

• Analysis of current and external trends as well as the transference of lessons from current/ historical projects.
• Deep expertise and experience in all study phases, under estimation area.
• Identification and implementation of improvement initiatives including programmatic opportunities for increased capital efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinating and consolidating the estimate development methodology for the cost estimate or parts of a cost estimate.
• Accountability for the estimate development deliverables produced by the Engineering Service Provider or Specialist Estimating providers.
• Providing cost estimate expertise for the development of cost management related deliverables and ensuring that the estimate is developed to align with Control Budget creation requirements.
• Coordinating the consistent use of engineering deliverables, scope of work, and other documents to develop estimate.
• Validates and monitors that the estimate is developed and supported by the BHP minimum requirements appropriate to the class of estimate.
• Coordinates and consolidates the basis of the estimate development including any assumptions, qualifications and exclusions.
• Aligning and integrates estimate development schedule with the project master schedule.
• An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.

About You

Requirements (minimum):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Cost estimation experience, preferably in the Mining industry at a Senior level.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Intermediate/Advanced level in Microsoft Office systems, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
• Accurately evaluate detailed specifications that are crucial to a cost estimator's success.
• Intermediate English Level.
