Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy with responsibilities at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline and weekend on call at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

The focus of this appointment will be to maintain the delivery of oral and maxillofacial surgery emergency & elective services. The person appointed will contribute to service requirements within their sub-specialty interest including deformity, TMJ, trauma, salivary gland disease and non-melanotic skin cancer, and will also contribute to a proportionate share of the general work of the department.

OMFS is a specialty within the Surgical Directorate which is part of the Acute Services Division.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training to Non-UK Applicants must demonstrate that they have the knowledge, skills and experience required for practising as an eligible specialist in the UK.
