Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering or Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in the execution of seawater or industrial water treatment projects, with a focus on EPC and mining-related developments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in detail engineering, project scheduling, construction support, and commissioning, along with a proven track record in managing the design scope for large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Lead and manage engineering teams through project phases—from feasibility design to detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical scope, schedule, budget and resources.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with estimate requirements for EPC readiness.
  • Supervise the preparation of calculation reports for mechanical, process, civil, electrical, structural, Instrumentation & Control, and architectural components, ensuring clarity and meeting the design expectations.
  • Provide leadership in the development of BIM models (Autodesk Platform) and digital engineering tools for design visualization and coordination in Common Data Environments.
  • Drive project scheduling and planning activities, ensuring alignment with permitting, procurement, and construction milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Engineering or master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • More than 15 years of relevant engineering and design experience, with at least 10 years in a similar leadership role managing large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in desalination plant design, industrial water treatment systems, and mining water infrastructure.
  • Strong background in project scheduling, detail engineering, construction support, and commissioning.
  • Proven experience in EPC project delivery models.
  • Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in engineering software, digital platforms and design tools.
