Today we have a rare opportunity to shape the marketing across South America of one of the leaders in the mining industry.
- As the Regional Marketing Manager for South America (SAMER), you will own the marketing planning and execution of activities working closely with the local president, senior leaders, and your global stakeholders. This is an individual contributor role, responsible for managing the marketing function._
- You connect the global marketing campaigns and priorities with your country, collaborating with colleagues across the global Marketing and Brand team._
- You will report directly to the Head of Group Marketing based in Copenhagen, Denmark._

This position allows you full ownership of FLSmidth SAMER marketing - planning and executing. The role allows for a mix of strategy, planning and execution.

**Responsibilities**:
Planning and leadership- Lead and own the development and execution of the SAMER marketing strategic and tactical plan in alignment and collaboration with local and global stakeholders- Understand and build the company’s brand position and competitive landscape across South America- Understand and target key customer segments with a customer centric approach

Marketing activities and campaigns- Plan and coordinate the creation of local content from global campaigns and advise on additional local campaign requirements- Manage suppliers to develop creative strategies and media execution where required for your region- Support management with crisis management and local media relations, where necessary

Events- Being in B2B a large part of the role is the delivery of a range of tradeshows from smaller events to larger investments. Your role is to develop and execute Best in Class tradeshows and events for FLSmidth, maximizing our investment through integrated campaigns. Utilize the global marketing teams with tailored content, social media, web content, adjacent activities, media, and branding activities)

Budget- Be accountable for developing and managing the SAMER marketing budget through close collaboration with sales, local leadership and global- Evaluate productivity and marketing strategies’ return on investment (ROI).

What you bring:
- BS in Marketing or similar- 5+ or more years of experience from a similar marketing role, ideally within the mining industry or global B2B industry- Advanced English- A strong business sense and can effectively manage stakeholders of all levels, across cultures- Excellent project management skills to be able to juggle the minutiae of details yet remain focused on the greater goal- A passion for delivering successful events and tradeshows- You have strong verbal and written communication skills and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.- You are comfortable challenging the business and your stakeholders, thinking outside the box when it comes to new ways of finding solutions- You can seamlessly maintain and drive momentum in a busy and sometimes unchartered environment- An ability and desire to proactively take initiative, ownership and work independently make you a respected and trustworthy colleague.
