Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This involves overseeing the work of mechanical contractors, conducting site inspections, and reviewing technical documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the work of mechanical contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Review and provide feedback on technical documents, including construction coordination meetings and OFE vendor reports.
  • Liaise with mechanical technical inspectors and commissioning agents to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Produce regular reports on mechanical activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates.
  • Support constructability reviews of documents and provide technical recommendations for GC equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
  • Conduct and sign off on OFE CDE reports and technical recommendations for GC equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
  • Support commissioning activities and verify contractor progress.
  • Support equipment and OFE contracting and expediting.
  • Update the project schedule according to contractor schedule and progress.
  • Support vendor performance review and develop equipment and material requisitions by drafting scope and gathering technical specifications.
  • Support developing contracts requisitions by drafting scope and gathering technical specifications of Mechanical discipline.
  • Review engineering deliverables and check compliance with client requirements.
  • Manage Mechanical technical inspection activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years professional experience.
  • 5 years experience in the role.
  • Degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Previous experience in project management and design management for industrial projects.
  • Experience in end-to-end service full project delivery.
  • Fluent English and Spanish.
