The RoleWe're seeking an experienced Engineering Leader Chile to lead our expanding engineering teams in Chile. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll oversee delivery of strategic product initiatives, representing Checkr's mission, vision, and values.
Your responsibilities will include defining and executing an aggressive hiring strategy to expand our engineering capacity, overseeing team growth and development, and owning specific core product areas. You'll also partner with product and business leaders to influence strategic direction and hire, mentor, and manage a diverse engineering leadership team.
What You Bring
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering roles
- 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams in an agile environment through customer centricity
- Proven experience in a continuous delivery environment supporting modern engineering practices
- Customer centricity: understanding customer behavior and sentiment to effectively build products
- Proven success in building, leading, and growing a high-performance engineering team
- Experience managing distributed delivery, team collaboration, and communication in a geographically diverse setting
- Experience managing managers, and setting up an engineering organization
- Strong alignment with Checkr's mission and values
- Bias for Action: proactively taking initiative and delivering quick results in a fast-paced environment
- Data driven mindset to measure business impact
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and work cooperatively with diverse groups
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
