The primary function of this role is to provide expert-level accounting services to our clients. This includes performing a range of tasks, from data entry and bank reconciliations to generating financial reports and preparing budgets.

Responsibilities:

Clerical Accounting Tasks:

  • Data entry of invoices, receipts, and payments into Sage
  • Performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable, including creating and sending invoices
  • Posting journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
  • Generating financial reports, such as trial balances or profit and loss statements, using Sage
  • Tracking and categorizing expenses within Sage
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for audits and reporting purposes

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and approving financial entries made by junior staff or clerks in Sage
  • Monitoring budget vs. actuals using reports generated from Sage
  • Overseeing month-end and year-end close processes in Sage
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
  • Preparing financial reports for management or external stakeholders

A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field, along with relevant work experience, is essential for this role.
