Overview

UNESCO is seeking a highly skilled Education Professional to lead its Health and Wellbeing Project in the Latin America and Caribbean region. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic support for research, conceptualization, development, and implementation of programmes and projects aimed at advancing education for health and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced university degree in education, social sciences, public health, or a relevant field, and at least two years of experience in areas related to sexual and reproductive health, gender, and education. Excellent knowledge of Spanish and good knowledge of English are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Programme Development and Support: Provide technical support for research, conceptualization, development, and implementation of programmes and projects on comprehensive sexuality education, prevention of school violence, including school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV), school health and nutrition, mental health and psychosocial wellbeing promotion, sexual and reproductive rights, and others.
  2. Partnerships and Networking: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external partners on key thematic issues and internal collaboration within and across UNESCO Divisions and Sectors.
  3. Resource Mobilization and Programme Reporting: Participate in resource mobilization efforts, including developing projects, programme, and funding proposals.

Salary: $63,120,000 CLP per annum, plus benefits.
