About Corporate and Investment Banking & Investment Research (CIB & IR)

As a global leader in knowledge processes, research, and analytics, you'll be working with a team that specializes in global market research, working with the top-rated investment research organizations, bulge bracket investment banks, and leading asset managers. We cater to 8 of the top 10 global banks, working alongside their product and sector teams, supporting them on deal origination, execution, valuation, and transaction advisory-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and timely translate business documents and marketing materials from Spanish to English (and vice-versa sometimes).
  • Understand the meaning and context of business documents and translate them into English, preserving the original context and meaning.
  • Consult with subject matter experts and colleagues to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately.
  • Research, check, and confirm statements, numbers, company/product names, and other material in written research submitted.
  • Ensure consistency between underlying arguments, financial reports, and investment conclusions.
  • Translate a variety of documents, including literary, legal, research, technical, and commercial materials.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality written communications with tight deadlines.
  • Manage projects/deliverables by actively communicating with team members about deadlines and informing all interested parties of deliverable timelines and status.
  • Escalate issues to your manager and assist in resolving them.

Requirements

  • Degree, or equivalent, in English, with excellent Spanish and English language skills in both editing and writing.
  • 2-5 years of Translation/Editing experience for business corporations or financial institutions.
  • Proven strength or experience working in translation, specifically in Spanish to English.
  • Experience in using translation tools or ability to learn and use various tools to perform translation tasks.
