Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced English Language Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to students, assessing and reporting student progress, and maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning and Delivery
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and prepare differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of diverse learners
- Deliver engaging and inquiry-based lessons that promote student-centered learning
- Student Assessment and Progress
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Report student progress to parents and school administrators
- Student Welfare and Pastoral Care
- Provide support and guidance to students to promote their social, emotional, and academic well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement pastoral care programs
- Learning Environment and Resources
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
- Manage resources and materials to support teaching and learning
- Extra-Curricular Activities
- Organize and participate in school events, trips, and extra-curricular activities that promote student development and engagement
- Line Management
- Line manage a teaching assistant to support teaching and learning
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Experience
- Previous teaching experience in an international school setting
- Skills
- The ability to deliver engaging and inquiry-based lessons
- Experience with collaborative planning and team-teaching
