The Senior Manager role is integral to the Regulatory and Risk Governance (RRG) team, focusing on supervisory and regulatory risk management across the Southern Cone of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region. This position is designed to manage and oversee interactions with relevant regulatory bodies on supervisory matters within the LAC region, with a primary focus on the Southern Cone. Collaboration with Government Engagement, Legal, and Compliance teams is essential to ensure alignment with the LAC Supervisory Framework and adherence to the Global Supervisory Engagement Model.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Risk Officer for Visa's operations in the region, enhancing and optimizing the supervisory framework.
- Ensure timely and consistent responses to regulatory requests.
- Develop metrics to analyze trends and supervisory impacts in the Southern Cone, facilitating ongoing measurement of objectives and outcomes.
- Maintain a comprehensive repository of information for regulatory inquiries and consultations.
- Design and implement reporting and analytical solutions to streamline regulatory reporting processes, leveraging global technology transformations.
- Proactively address regulatory requirements and reporting obligations through effective framework implementation.
- Engage with business and functional teams to foster strong relationships with government stakeholders, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Support Corporate Risk initiatives, including client regulatory assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with the LAC Supervisory Lead and other regional Supervisory Risk Leads to ensure a unified approach to relevant topics.
- Provide regular reporting, metrics, and insights related to regulatory and supervisory management, assisting with presentations and training materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Legal, or related fields.
- 7+ years of experience in Corporate/Risk Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Regulatory Management, or Legal.
- Experience in managing regulatory relationships, either directly or indirectly.
- Understanding of technology risk management and emerging payment system regulations in LAC or the US.
- Proficient in preparing and delivering executive-level communications.
- Experience coordinating multi-functional teams in market risk functions and initiatives.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Word, and Outlook.
